Under the Flat Sky - Fusing contemporary dance and Butoh influences, Under Flat Sky is a stunningly beautiful immersion of dancers in a surreal moving visual landscape, accompanied by extraordinary vocals. Edge of Nowhere - a playful solo created for Indian dancer Rajyashree Ramamurthi presented in a virtual, life-sized 3D representation. Rajyashree has always wondered where the centre of things is. Through a series of short stories from her life, each followed by a dance piece, she comes to realise that the answer has been staring at her all along. Accompanied by violin, piano, harmonium and tablas, Rajyashree is framed in a series of beautiful visual pictures specially created by the German artist Silke Mansholt. Tonight I'm Gonna be the New Me - an arresting encounter between audience and enigmatic solo performer. Unfolding across a wasteland of performance, it pierces the bloody heart of our obsession with story. What lengths will the performer go to in order to validate her experience? How can she measure up to the other girls? And who, ultimately, is she doing it for?
