This beautiful and breathtaking montage is followed by George Balanchine’s Slaughter on Tenth Avenue, a crazy 30s comedy; its humour and vitality provide sparkling entertainment. After discovering a hitman in the audience is to target him as soon as his stage routine is over, a luckless leading man has no option but to extend his frantic solo until the cops can arrive!
