Pointes of View

Pointes of View features MacMillan's uplifting Concerto, a sparkling display of classical ballet. Slaughter on Tenth Avenue was created as part of the Rodgers and Hart musical On Your Toes, and is a tale of a happy-go-lucky hero who literally has to dance for his life. In the Upper Room is an exhilarating, athletic ballet by American dance phenomenon Twyla Tharp. Philip Glass's score builds to an emotional peak with dancing that critics described as "quick witted and even quicker footed".
