Boyz Nite In is a mix-up of male performers and dance styles. This lively evening kicks off with a hard hitting opening from Critical Mass performed by Michael Nunn and William Trevitt, the Ballet Boyz. Nunn and Trevitt re-define the male duet as two modern day pugilists make their way through a series of changing stylistic sequences, displaying physical strength, immense control and highly tuned mutual co-ordination. The evening showcases some exciting Boyz work happening in schools led by Random Dance and by Compagnie Kafig (France), with support from Hip Hop Collective artists. The Holloway Boyz lay down some trademark moves and Martin Robinson presents The Solo Yin & Yang: A dancer’s appreciation of Martial Arts, with live music from The Relics. A lively evening that ends with an onstage discussion with the performers about Boyz, men and dance.
