Wishes and Waves

Wishes and Waves is an exciting new production from Chrysalis Dance, the company who created the sell-out success Strings, with Paddy Casey. A double bill, Wishes, with quirky eclectic music by Bellx1, is an exploration into action and consequence, love and loss. Waves, with heart-melting vocals by Declan O’Rourke, brings the audience to an enchanting world under the sea, where women are sensual sirens and men are entranced. Judith Sibley’s unique choreographic style blends fluid classical ballet and intricate contemporary dance to create a vibrant and exhilarating dance form. Both Bellx1 and Declan O’Rourke have been nominated for various awards at the Meteors and O’Rourke was awarded ‘Best Debut Album’ by the Hot Press reader’s poll.
