Twelve-piece dance group Ashara Rhythm Company from Birmingham have based their repertoire on two ancient cultures from Egypt and India. Their work combines the disciplines of classical Indian, traditional Egyptian and Western contemporary dance styles interwoven with folk, classical rhythms of the East and original music compositions. Through this mix comes a celebration of the root connection between our cultures.
