Karamba World Music and Dance are proud to present Danza Libre from Guantanamo, in eastern Cuba. Elfriede Mahler, the American contemporary dancer and choreographer and Ramiro Guerra, the Cuban dancer and choreographer responsible for introducing contemporary dance to Cuba after the revolution founded Danze Libre 10 years ago. The company will perform a unique repertoire of contemporary and Afro-Cuban dances, including cha-cha-cha, salsa, mambo and rumba led by dynamic young artistic director, Alfredo Valazquez.
