Compass is a compelling new work produced by Sadler's Wells Creative Learning department, Connect. It brings together a team of choreographers, a writer, a film maker, composers and musicians with a cast of over 100 dancers, encompassing all ages and levels of experience. Set to an original score of live and recorded vocal and instrumental music, the company combine their talents and draw on their rich cultural heritage to create a thought provoking performance. Audiences will be moved by a work that shows us that although we live in one city, within that city can be many worlds, and as many routes to ?home' as we choose. Running time: 1hr (no interval)

Sadler's Wells Connect has a reputation for its innovative and ambitious creative learning programme uniting professional artists, aspiring choreographers and dancers of all ages to present dance which inspires and excites. The annual Connect Festival features breathtaking performances, engaging work-shops and informative seminars. The Festival opens with Sadler's Wells resident Company of Elders, recently celebrated by BBC1's Imagine documentary. Constantly inspiring, these dancers, aged from 61 to 87, prove it's never too late to start dancing and present a full evening of work in their compelling signature style. Young dancers from across the capital will be performing their latest choreography in Roar!, Jam Free and Youth Dance SpaceXchange. Fast Forward sees Sadler's Wells joining forces with All Change to celebrate the talents of young people in Islington. The FATHoM Project, a collective specialising in inclusive dance, theatre, film and music, presents an engaging double bill of new work by Adam Benjamin and Molly Sturges. Rounding off the Festival is Big Dance Platform showcasing emerging artists and community groups.
