With some of the very best Cuban Salsa teachers in the UK and Europe, 3 spectacular late night Salsa Parties and featuring music and shows by the UK’s hottest salsa dancers. This exciting 3 day event features over 40 hours of daytime dance workshops, Cuban Salsa performers and DJs and loads of Havana Club Rum! The aim of the Cuban Salsa Congress is to celebrate Cuban culture and to showcase the very best of Cuban Salsa talent in the UK and Europe. Salsa Explosion have been teaching and promoting Cuban Salsa in Bournemouth and the UK for over 15 years and were voted the UK’s Most popular Cuban Salsa Promoters in the first ever British Cuban Dance Awards in 2006. Founded by Enrique Perez from Cuba in 1993, Salsa Explosion specialises in creating and providing authentic Cuban Salsa dance classes, special events and holiday weekenders, featuring the very best Cuban Salsa dancers, teachers, DJs and musicians. Born and raised in Pinar Del Rio and Havana in Cuba, Enrique has been teaching and dancing salsa for over 25 years. He was a finalist in the 1999 British Salsa Championships and was awarded a Diploma from the United Kingdom Alliance for Dance, Drama and Exercise. In recognition of his work to promote Salsa in the UK, Enrique was presented with a Salsa UK Lifetime Achievement Award at the UK International Salsa Congress in 2007. | |
