PanGottic/Anders Duckworth/Defracto - T0608381010

Long Shot - Long shot (noun): an attempt or undertaking that offers much, but in which there is little chance for success. Using circus, handcrafted contraptions and the audience's guidance, PanGottic bring to life one man's belief in the near impossible, the almost unachievable and the highly unlikely. Fingers crossed... Projected - Two characters have emerged from the world of celluloid. Seeing their projected memories realised unearths questions of what is 2D or 3D, fantasy or reality. A collaboration between Anders Duckworth and sound artist Chris Edwards, Projected draws inspiration from our brief relationship with the celluloid image and our ability to understand a string of still images as a real universe. Flaque - In Flaque, Defracto wittily illustrate their passion for juggling, treating it as a rhythmic discipline that flirts with dance and absurd humour. Precise, flexible and virtuosic, they display dazzling vitality. Bodies fall more often than balls do and the aim of catching is the impulse for any move. This is juggling as it should be; challenging, fresh, raw and full of finesse.Company PanGottic (UK - Long Shot). Choreographer Anders Duckworth (UK Projected). Company Defracto (France - Flaque).

Currency 3: Tabea Martin + Alma Sderberg - Duet for Two Dancers/Travail - T1946249137

Tabea Martin's Duet for Two Dancers takes a look at the anxiety of not living up to your own expectations, or those which your profession or society imposes. Tabea Martin has danced for companies in Germany and Ireland, and now works as a choreographer and performer in The Netherlands, Basel and Z?rich. She is supported by Dansateliers Rotterdam and Het LAB Utrecht. In Travail Alma S?derberg plays with combining fragments cut from newspapers, creating collages from clippings that have caught her attention to create ingenuous rhythmic scores in which movement, rhythm, music, sound and language open up possibilities for multiple, unexpected meanings to take shape. Alma Soderberg is from Malmo in Sweden. She studied classical ballet and a few years dancing flamenco in Spain before training at the School voor Nieuwe Dansontwikkeling (SNDO) in Amsterdam. Your ticket for this event includes the performances, dinner, and a pre-show sharing and discussion with Frauke Requardt and Alessandro Sciarroni.

Currency 2: Mor Shani + Alessandro Sciarroni - Flatland/Joseph - T0137966350

In Mor Shani's Flatland, an actor and three dancers tell the touching story of a neurologist who unexpectedly became his own research object when he found he was no longer the choreographer of his own life. Mor Shani is a freelance choreographer based in the Netherlands. He started his career in 2005 with the Bat-Dor Dance Company in Tel-Aviv, dancing and teaching with them for two years. He began collaborating with Dansateliers Rotterdam in 2009 and continues to work there as a guest choreographer. Technical expertise is blended with contemporary choreography in Italian artist Alessandro Sciarroni's solo Joseph, which includes edgy live online interaction via the randomising social network ChatRoulette. Alessandro Sciarroni is an Italian performer, actor and choreographer who creates crossovers between performance art, theatre, and visual arts. In 2011, he was selected for Choreoroam, developing a research project at The Place, in Zagreb, Copenhagen, Rotterdam, Bassano del Grappa and Madrid. Your ticket for this event includes the performances, dinner, and a pre-show sharing and discussion with Moreno Solinas, Igor Urzelai and Chiara Frigo.

Currency 1: Jan Martens + Jefta van Dinther -A Small Guide on How to Treat Your Lifetime Companion/GRIND - T708998031

In A small guide on how to treat your lifetime companion a couple stuck in an unspecified, four metre square space (perhaps an elevator, a kitchen, a cellar or a caravan) dance a modern mating ritual. Without leaving each other's sides, Jan Martens and Steefka Zijlstra beautifully illustrate five key moments in a relationship. In this revealing snippet of two people's lives, the couple manage to exclude the outside world for 30 minutes before it inevitably forces its way back in again. Jan Martens has created a piece about love in a tender and intimate performance that is both comforting and confrontational. Jefta Van Dinther's GRIND is a collaboration between choreographer and dancer Jefta van Dinther, lighting designer Minna Tiikkainen and sound designer David Kiers. Inspired by synesthesia, the performance seeks to challenge our grip on reality by suspending our senses and shortcircuiting perception. With pulsating, cutting, flickering lights and the unrelenting beats of dark, loopy techno, GRIND suggests a place where the components of body, light and sound blend to affect, confuse and move. Your ticket for this event includes the performances, dinner, and a pre-show sharing and discussion with Eva Recacha and Jan Martens.
