From this simple criterion arises a set of spatial and temporal displacements. The screen becomes the site of intersection between the body of the performer and the two-dimensional world of images. The result is a dizzying hybrid experience, blurring the lines between the banality of everyday situations and new modes of narration. From expansive coastal cliffs to dark wooded valleys and fast-flowing northern rivers, the dance gradually reveals the performers’ own histories within these places, and to each other.
