The day will offer a dance marathon of classes for all ages and abilities. Teachers include Wayne Sleep, Roland Price, David Kierce, Denzil Bailey, Raymond Chai, Leanne King, Dennis Wonder, Gwen Jno-Baptiste, Milo Miles, Cleo Souza, Emma Lister and Julien Marc Roussel, covering Ballet, Jazz, Street, Musical Theatre, Salsa, Zumba and Pilates. Performances will take place at 1.30, 5.30 and 8.30, and will feature English National Ballet's Yat-Sen Chang and Crystal Costa, and Junor Souza and Kasenia Ovsyanick, ex Northern Ballet Principles David Kierce and Keiko Amemori, English Youth Ballet's Emma Lister and Lorien Slaughter, plus Ballet Black, Springs Dance Company, Kinisi Dance Company and more. There will be a raffle, with prizes including Pineapple and Danceworks memberships, Capezio sneakers and signed pointe shoes from Royal Ballet Dancers. Dance For Japan T-shirts are already available, at Freed of London, or via the Dance For Japan Facebook page. Initiated by dancer Julia Davies, Dance For Japan, in association with the Red Cross. The day aims to raise funds for those affected by the recent catastrophic events in Japan.
