Adaptations - Following the work's 2004 premiere in New York, each dancer began a solo adaptation of the quartet. Sensations, memories, fragments, and details from
The Match are embedded in the adaptations. A daily practice of the solo meant that each adaptation became a collaboration rather than a faithful, bodily re-enactment of existing material.
