Following last years successful performance of The World behind Walls. Internationally acclaimed Ethiopian dancers and choreographers Addisu Demissie and Junaid Jemal Sendi (Rolex Mentor et Protege Laureate, 2004) join forces with Jessie Brett to perform in time to celebrate their newly created contemporary dance company, DESTINO. Reflecting their vision to encourage underprivileged young people to develop their inner potential and self-confidence, the Company builds on the incredible story of its founders, as well as on their success revealed during their outstanding performances atThe Place, Sadler's Wells and festivals across Africa and Europe. Their unique style blends their rich Ethiopian cultural heritage with international contemporary influences. They will be presenting two pieces: Ene Man Negn (Who am I): a duet about identity, choices and fate in the life-journey of two people. Chase the Chaos: piece choreographed and performed in collaboration with Jessie Brett.
