Tonight's show will feature performances from the Dark Angels (2008 winners of the hip/hop division of the adult world dance championships), the Seraphins (British junior hip/hop champions, shortly to represent the UK in Las Vegas), as well as the Shadow Angels. Angels Dance Academy was founded 5 years ago with the aim of increasing young people's physical activity through hip/hop dance. Based at The Park in Knowle, Bristol, the Academy now has over 13 dance crews made up of more than 300 members aged between 5 and 24 years. Greenapples - Choreographed by Mark Bruce to the music of the White Stripes, Green Apples is a commanding duet performed in the round. Separated from the performers by only a rope, the audience is drawn into a visceral and immediate experience as the dancers circle themselves and each other in a space of physical intensity and magnetic energy.
