This is the first ever China-UK hip hop music exchange and will give London audiences the chance to discover and enjoy the best of UK/China hip hop rap music. Hip hop rap is the world's most popular music genre amongst young people in Beijing and London. Dragon Tongue Squad is China's best and most established hip hop crew in Beijing. In London, Kevin Quan (aka DJ Phat) is the most highly regarded scratch hip hop DJ who has created a unique musical partnership with Suki Mok on Spanish guitar. Both China and UK artists will be working together over the course of one week's residency in a London studio, and the results of this fascinating exchange between Mandarin-rapping China MC's and British rap musicians will culminate in a hip, bilingual performance at the Linbury Studio Theatre at the Royal Opera House, with special guests to be announced nearer the time Linbury Studio
