UK Premiere. Sadler's Wells Associate Artist Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's latest creation is inspired by the writings of American philosopher Noam Chomsky. Featuring an all-male cast of performers, including Cherkaoui himself, Fractus V explores the production and manipulation of information in contemporary society. The work was originally created to mark the 40th anniversary of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. This expanded version of the piece features five dancers, four live musicians and a variety of different stylistic influences, including circus, flamenco, Lindy hop and breakdance.
