A mixed bill of three works in a variety of styles: ?Ellas', ?Con-Tacto' and ?Pasajes' choreographed by Piedad Albarracin Seiquer. ELLAS is a work in progress investigating the figure of a woman. It's not only the story of one woman but many women. The journey reflects an internal conflict for finding self acceptance and empowerment. Both artist and audience embark in a journey with insecurities, struggle, exhaustion and surrender to end up in a complete harmony. CON-TACTO is about the intimacy of touch. This is a conversation of movement between two performers, who listen, respond and propose through the perception of the others touch. This relationship starts from tentative beginnings, but finds organic flow, weight and rhythm for a true dialogue to emerge. The touch is longed for yet feared at the same time, creating moments of tension and release. PASAJES is an exploration of Memories. Precious stories stored deep within the mind, reviving emotive and descriptive landscapes to delve into. Memory is the beginning of story. The exploring the minute details, textures, sensations and emotions that underlay this full bodied recollection of the memory. Where the original story is obscured and embellished by the ideas of others. How memories are not solid states, but fluid and ever evolving. Where past memories not only define our present self but our present self defining our past memories.
