A celebration of traditional English dance through the ages. A journey through time, from the 'Dancing English' of Shakespeare's day to English dance for the next millennium. Romanska will present a dynamically choreographed show which includes pierce swordsmen, acrobatic sailors, battling giants, pagan green men, clog dancing factory workers and City gents! Romanska does for English dance what Riverdance has done for traditional Irish dance. England Dances Romanska return with a colourful pageant celebrating the rich tradition and variety of native dance from Tudor times to today's folk revival, taking in Morris and clog dancing, sea shanties, and bustling London street scenes on the way. The show is narrated, set to a score of English orchestral music and demonstrates in a highly entertaining way that these folk dances are as spectacular and uplifting as any in the world.
