Inside it's Raining/Ladies and Gentlemen How Bored Are You/Ten - T016408614INSIDE IT'S RAINING - RACHEL ERDOS - A work that explores the way three different people manage their anger and emotions, the relationships they have and the choices they make. This dance piece is performed to an original music score written by composer Alberto Shwartz. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, HOW BORED ARE YOU? - GODDARD ¦ NIXON PROJECT - The first collaboration between Jonathan Goddard and Gemma Nixon, both senior artists with Rambert Dance Company. These charismatic performers come together to tell the story of a modern relationship, creating a dance piece that will mesmerize and captivate you. TEN - HETAIN PATEL - Somewhere between Bolton, Barbados, Scotland and India, three men make a journey of discovery in this new piece by Hetain Patel. Using music and the Indian 10-beat rhythm cycle, they explore the need to belong through cultural symbols - from the red 'dot' or tilaka mark to the St George cross on the English flag. Milkwood Rodeo/Spiltmilk Say Dance/That Was The Time I Stopped/The Man Who Wasn't There - T01488567849MILKWOOD RODEO - THE SUGAR BEAST CIRCUS - A performance inspired by holy men and Hollywood - an autobiographical fantasy capturing performers' memories of life on the road with an Indian circus. The piece fuses physical theatre and unique and elegant aerial work with animation and projection to create a strange reality. Milkwood Rodeo was developed with the support of The Roundhouse and Arts Council England. SPILTMILK SAY DANCE - SPILTMILK DANCE - Performed by the award-winning Spiltmilk Dance company who use their distinctively quirky style to put a new spin on popular social dance crazes of the 20th century. Dance phenomena such as The Twist, Disco and Ballroom are re-imagined to create a completely new dance experience. THAT WAS THE TIME I STOPPED - AMY BELL AND VALENTINA GOLFIERI - Surreal flights of fancy, fears and hallucinations are spliced together by two enigmatic figures to create a makeshift sense of reality. This is darkly humorous dance in stop-frame. THE MAN WHO WASN'T THERE - GENIUS SWEATSHOP - The Man Who Wasn't There is a glimpse into the life of 'Albert' - a man whose memories are fragmented and who is becoming increasingly drawn into a world of senile confusion. Albert's stories are told through a unique blend of puppetry and circus by London based company Genius Sweatshop. Tuttaposto - RACHAEL MOSSOM - Tuttaposto is a playful dance piece inspired by different ways of communicating, wittily exploring a series of hand gestures and their meanings across two different cultures. Initial Side Effects - dANTE OR dIE THEATRE - A new, playful and provocative piece of dance-theatre that explores how and why people take their medicine and why they don’t take it, and the ‘side effects’ resulting from such action or non-action. Side Effects is a unique collaboration between dANTE OR dIE Theatre and The School of Pharmacy which will be developed into a full length production in 2011. Then they pace menacingly in unison, breaking into a dizzying display of head spins, handstands and footwork. UK break dance champions Bad Taste Cru bring their breathtaking dance to the Linbury with imreadywhenuare, in which choreographer Simon Williams flips hip-hop on its head. The Making of Doubt - The Making of Doubt takes the human doll as an emblem of representation and places it within the real and impossible condition of its words and actions. How authentic does something have to seem in order for us to construct a system of belief around it; how far does one have to go? The Second Death of Caspar Helendale - Come to the strangest funeral you’ve ever attended. The Second Life avatar Caspar Helendale invites you to attend his death; a funeral service held simultaneously in the real and virtual worlds. He has been exploring mortality since he was ? rst created, and in his last 20 minutes of existence he will share his thoughts with collected mourners. He will be accompanied by his widow-to-be, Trixiebelle Landar; his Requiem will be performed live and streamed back into the virtual world over the course of the service.
