Gabriele Reuter's Tourist brings slapstick, loud costumes, impossible magnetisms and large black holes onto the empty space of the stage. It was nominated for the Prix Jardin d'Europe in 2010. The Tourist is a strange visitor to the world of contemporary dance. Three performers (Julieta Figueroa, Seke Chimutengwende and Gabriele Reuter) invade the theatre, impossible landscapes and imagined territories with humour and resilience, finding themselves out of place and unsettled wherever they go. Tourist invites the imagination of the audience to colour in what can't be seen. Giuliana Majo's Red is a fiery, complicit game between Majo and composer Michael Picknett, who set out to uncover elements of the fairytale, Little Red Riding Hood. Hunting down unexpected movements, and raw sounds, Red becomes a carefully choreographed narrative composition with an intriguing twist in the tale.
