H2DANCE is Hanna Gillgren and Heidi Rustgaard, choreographers from Sweden and Norway respectively. Ostrich - A production dealing with the human characteristics of fear. When and why do we become scared and how do we deal with fear of demands, confrontation, love and seduction? Dancers and musicians combine quirky and dysfunctional movement and sound. Two - 'Questioning the nature of women's sticky co-dependence, with its channels of short-lived pleasure, ingrained habit and irritation' (Dance Europe), Two mixes emotionally physical movement with a fruity blend of theatre, humour and sound. Butterfly Belly will premiere later in the spring; this evening's preview performance concludes the company's devising period. This new trio traces the search for happiness in a quirky and humourous performance combining oriental sounds with rigorous physicality.
