The Great Escape (Helix Dance) is a comic solo written, choreographed and performed by DanceEast Associate Artist, Isobel Cohen. While nominally a piece about cheap underwear and other unforseen disappointments, its primary purpose is to explain why otherwise intelligent and rational individuals would choose contemporary dance as a career. Combining live performance and projection, Pregnant?! (Mamoru Iriguchi) is a cross-dressed-pseudo-pregnant-one-man-show. It is about his epic journey to deal with overly intimate relationships with others, mostly his own body.
