Since he burst onto the scene in 1996, Henri Oguike has become a leading force in dance. Combining technical virtuosity with the immediacy of live music, his work has won numerous awards and given a creative blood transfusion to the world of contemporary dance. By turns thundering and gentle, visceral and flirtatious, the work of this dynamic young company. Tiger Dancing is a bright and animated full company work set to Steve Martland's specially commissioned score inspired by Blake's poem 'The Tyger'. Oguike's searing and poignant Front Line, the critically acclaimed sextet performed to Shostakovich's 9th Quartet in E Flat and finally, for 11 dancers, Tippett's Concerto for Double String Orchestra, commissioned to celebrate the composer's centenary year in 2005.
