Since he burst onto the scene in 1996, Henri Oguike has become a leading force in dance. Combining technical virtuosity with the immediacy of live music, his work has won numerous awards and given a creative blood transfusion to the world of contemporary dance. (Frames Per Second) Parts 1 and 2 - This exquisite solo, danced by Oguike and made in collaboration with lighting designer Guy Hoare, traces the relationship between movment, light and sound. F.P.S. Part 1 is set to the Kronos Quartet's string version of Bill Evan's Piece Peace. For F.P.S. Part 2, Oguike returns to the original piano version to create a new duet.
