Home Ties is an evening of three works from emerging choreographers who have one thing in common - they are all former graduates of Laban. Something Outside Sara Crow & Co Inspired by the melancholy stories of Raymond Carver, Something Outside is a duet that explores the emotional and physical world of a tired, married couple. Thrown together on a dark and rainy night they begin to contemplate the lethal ordinariness of their lives. Will they find a chance to break free or accept this fate as inevitable? Insightful characterisation, compelling physical movement and a blend of haunting film and music make for an enchanting new piece of dance theatre. 'genuinely touching... a gently evocative piece of theatre' Lyndsey Winship, The Place Review Hidden 'I' synapse Inspired by Milan Kundera s classic novel 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being' Saya Tamagawa s company takes us on a sensual, undulating journey through a crippled, hollow and fragile male/female relationship. 'synapse s performance was faultless. I hope they return again and again so that others can enjoy their moving energy and effortless skill.' Elina Middleton-Lajudie, The Place Review Mano Creates Play What makes us happy as games are translated into an explosive barrage of high energy dance.
