Gathered Together - T02046906255Indepen-dance will host Scotland's first International Inclusive Dance Festival to develop and share knowledge and expertise with festival delegates, forging new artistic partnerships in the world of Dance and Disability. Indepen-dance is an established and highly respected inclusive dance development company with a unique place within the dance community in Scotland, offering a variety of dance activities to people with diverse abilities. As part of the European dance project, they will bring together dancers from Scotland, England, France and Belgium to share dance experience and cultural development. Funded by the European Union, the project, known as INTEGRANCE promotes integration through European collaboration in dance. The common theme of integration running through the project involves people with different abilities, backgrounds, cultures, ages and nationalities. The European programme will strengthen EU artistic collaboration, improve performance skills, promote thinking and practice about the social integration of individuals with a disability, encouraging confidence and achievement, and providing high quality performances. | |
