John Scott creates a lively and stimulating work for seven highly individual dancers. An hilarious and compelling study in observation – viewing the world from inside and out – Next To Skin contains dancing of astonishing beauty and power. The dancers create the space using their bodies and voices with joyous leaps, finely honed partnering and explosive joy. Nominated as ‘The Future of Dance’ by Ballet/Tanz Magazine, John Scott’s work has been described as ‘Beckett meets Monty Python’. Next To Skin contains references to Buster Keaton, the Greek tragedies and Frankenstein. Suitable for all ages.
