Last Touch First
Jiri Kylian, world famous choreographer and previous director of Nederlands Dans Theater, is celebrated for exploring the creative potential of older performers.
Last Touch First, created with Michael Schumacher, focuses on three couples and unfolds like an eerie, slow-motion Victorian melodrama. A moving and aesthetically beautiful piece,
Last Touch First explores the desperation and madness of six lonely characters who find a sense of togetherness as the work progresses. Set to an evocative soundtrack this Holland Dance Festival production recalls the plays of Anton Chekhov, a central inspiration to the choreographers. In this intimate work, the technical brilliance of the dancers and the extravagant costumes and scenery create a dramatic and gripping atmosphere. UK Premiere.
