A triple bill that will take you on a gripping journey through powerful, precise and heart-pounding choreography from one of the most exciting voices in British contemporary dance. The company has joined forces with Grammy award-winner and 2015 Polar Music Prize laureate, composer and percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, who has co-written an original score and will perform live alongside Musical Director James Keane, for the climax of the triple bill, Wide Awakening. 5/0 is a birthday celebration marking the company's 5th and Dame Evelyn's 50th. Expect a high-octane, adrenaline-fuelled evening of dance and live music performed by 5 alpha-female dancers and 2 incredible musicians. The evening will feature 24, a quartet inspired by the themes and concepts within the Alexander McQueen exhibition Savage Beauty; V, a technical and emotive solo that explores the rare and contorted beauty our bodies have to offer; and Wide Awakening, an exhilarating and mesmerising new work, where powerful movement and a pounding percussive score combine to the point of exhaustion.
