Hip Hopstory is created by Kwesi Johnson, Artist in Residence at the Wyvern Theatre. Hip Hopstory is a gritty, fast-paced story of sacrifice and discovery. We are magically taken through time to witness the physical dexterity of B-Boyin, Lockin', Poppin' and hypin' the masterful lyrics of MC'ing. Graffiti art and deejas craft to turntablism are also skilfully mixed with a kicking soundtrack to create a theatrical guide to the history of hip-hop. A Hip Hopstory is a fusion of theatre hip-hop, and the unexpected.
