Llamame Mariachi - T01335285059

Come and explore an unusual world where gravity disappears, theatre is no longer what we know and art forms implode joyfully into one another. Following her appearance at Southbank Centre last year in (the duet) Gustavia alongside French collaborator Mathilde Monnier, La Ribot brings the awaited UK premiere of her most recent piece Llámame Mariachi ('Call me mariachi' in English) - a work that once again sits provocatively on the edge of performance, dance and live art. A mesmerising film with a specially commissioned soundtrack by Atom leads into a playful and humorous live performance involving a trio of women including La Ribot herself. Llamame Mariachi tests our senses by increasing our perception of the body and time, in the process enticing us to explore new spaces. Contains some strong language.Choreographer La Ribot. 40 Espontaneous - T01537026774

Choreographer/artist [La Ribot] [Maria Ribot] uses her fascination with the dynamic of los espontaneous (the spectators who jump into the bullring after the fight and steal the show from the bullfighter) where reality interacts with spontaneity to create a raw and sometimes dangerous performance. [La Ribot]'s espontaneous are untrained London-based individuals who will have worked together for four hours a day over just five days. During the performance, they inhabit a space filled with an enormous carpet of furniture, colourful objects and clothes. They construct and deconstruct. They dress up with love. They laugh with honesty. They reveal the passion, vulnerability and openness of their everyday actions.

Mas Distinguidas - T01926239420

La Ribot's distinguished pieces project began in 1993. They are presented in the form of short solos of between 30 seconds and seven minutes which cross freely between visual art, performance, live art and dance. The aim has been to produce, over time, one hundred pieces. So far, three series have been developed: 13 Piezas Distinguidas from 1993/94, Mas Distinguidas from 1997, and Still Distinguished from 2000, totalling 34 pieces in all. After meeting Anna Williams and creating a short solo for her in 1999, La Ribot was looking for an opportunity for further collaboration: Mas Distinguidas was the result, and is also the first time a piece has been interpreted by another person. The thirteen pieces of Mas Distinguidasinclude music by Eric Satie, Javier Lopez de Guerena, Ruben Gonzalez and Carlos Santos.Performer Anna Williams. Music Eric Satie. Music Javier Lopez de Guerena.
