A Geographic/Single Reflex

A Geographic - Leo's grandfather was an Eastern European immigrant, a merchant sailor, a free spirit, an addict and journeyman. A myth. A Geographic uses his life to reflect on passion and compulsion, exploring myth-making, and questioning what drives us forward and away from stability. Leo Kay is one of a new generation of dance theatre artists breaking the barriers that separate expressive forms: telling stories through a playful use of live music, text and an explosive physicality. Single Reflex - Bristling with originality and provocative imagery, Single Reflex examines the effects of our lovesick quest for perfection. Johnson weaves layers of the unexpected with physical theatre, Boogaloo and Poppin' techniques and spy camera technologies Kwesi Johnson, director of Kompany Malahki, makes a storming return to the stage as a solo performer, blurring the lines between dance, theatre and music.
