For the past twelve years the Collaborations performances have been one of the highlights of the London Contemporary Dance School performance calendar. These showcases are the culmination of two parallel projects in which third year choreography students from LCDS are matched either with design students from Wimbledon School of Art and Design or composers from Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The pieces that emerge are a bold and imaginative mix of ideas: the design work ranges from large scale constructions to innovative uses of the theatre itself, while the music pieces are an assortment of live music ensembles, electronic scores and work that challenges the roles of dancer, musician and designer.
