The residents of a quiet street near Sadler's Wells invite you to join them for a bit of a dance. Through a series of personal and everyday stories about lives on their street, this community of 'non-dancers' welcomes you on to their doorstep, ready to show us how it is to live and dance together. Created and directed by Lone Twin artistic directors Gary Winters and Gregg Whelan, working with choreographer Anna Williams, Street Dance is a participatory dance project aiming to develop a bespoke social dance which passes through communities, families and households, picking up participants of all ages and abilities as it grows. Street Dance is a playful and moving act of storytelling; using the local to describe the universal and creating a shared social space. Lone Twin have been making performance events since 1997, enjoying critical and popular acclaim throughout the world.

Onto a map of the Barbican, Gregg Whelan and Gary Winters of Lone Twin will draw a spiral, a path cutting through offices, apartments, cafes, schools, museums and theatres. Over the course of a week, Whelan and Winters will attempt to walk the spirals impossible path, following it through walls and under doors. The difficult journey is further challenged by the donation of objects, unrestricted in size or nature, by people encountered on route. Whelan, Winters and the growing snowball of materials, will gradually spiral through the Barbican, finding their journey's end at its geographic centre.Producer BITE07.

Nine years ago two friends decided to see the world. Mainly on foot and latterly on bicycles the two travelled the length and breadth of Europe, Scandinavia, North America and Australia. As they travelled they offered theatrical presentations as gifts to the people they met on their journey. Nine years and seven hundred performances later they have returned home. This new performance brings together the entire body of work in one ninety-minute show, an attempt to make sense of the world around us.
