Macras’ extraordinary Mir triptych uses conditions and experiences from onboard the Soviet space station MIR as an allegory for love. In this final part, the spacecraft, having outlived its mission and even the nation that produced it, prepares to re-enter the earth’s atmosphere, aflame and in pieces. Part of MADE IN BERLIN, a season at The Place and BITE: 03 at the Barbican, celebrating the diverse but distinctive contemporary work currently being produced by Berlin’s vibrant community of dance artists.
