Person to Person - T830661950Rubato's Dieter Baumann and Jutta Hell have worked together for over 20 years, investigating the body onto which cultural and sexual identities are projected. 'Person to Person' is a duet for Baumann and Jin Xing, one of China's most celebrated dancers, who underwent a sex change to become a woman in 1994. The two artists confront each other with their contrasting biographies, cultural contexts and identities as a man and a woman. Part of MADE IN BERLIN, a season at The Place and BITE: 03 at the Barbican, celebrating the diverse but distinctive contemporary work currently being produced by Berlin’s vibrant community of dance artists.
