In the courtyard of an inn near Paris, the Chevalier Des Grieux encounters the young, provocative Manon Lescaut. For both of them, it is love at first sight - but Ges Grieux has not counted on Manon's fascination with luxury, nor on her brother's determination to exploit her beauty for his own ends.
