Mapdance & Bodhi Project

Celebrating its sixth year, mapdance is one of the leading postgraduate dance companies in the UK. It recruits dancers nationally and internationally and commission's new repertoire from renowned and upcoming contemporary choreographers and directors. The company will perform new works by Nigel Charnock and Saju Hari. Ranging in style and emotion, mapdance's programme offers a diverse and refreshing mixture of dance theatre, lyrical choreography, punchy physicality and intriguing humour. It is a mixed bill that offers something for everyone. Bodhi Project is the postgraduate performance company of Salzberg Experimental Academy of Dance and was inaugurated in autumn 2008. During the last three years Bodhi Project has worked with renowned international choreographers and toured the newest works of the repertory throughout Europe. The company will present a new work, Score 4 4, by choreographer Jelka Milic. This work explores the relationship between dance as creative process and dance as a finished product of that process. The boundaries between performance and rehearsal, and performer and individual are blurred, unravelling the performative elements at play.
