Fusional Fragments is a new work by choreographer Marc Brew and composer Philip Sheppard performed by percussionist Evelyn Glennie and five dancers. Fusing elements of classical ballet and contemporary dance Fusional Fragments questions whether such elements can be fused together or whether they should remain as fragments in isolation. This world premiere performance offers an opportunity to see music move, and to be charged visually the Grammy Award-winner Dame Evelyn Glennie. For the second half of the evening, The British Paraorchestra founded in 2011 by Charles Hazlewood play music generated through improvisation in rehearsal. For Unlimited the orchestra present material inspired by Ravel's Bolero and Greensleeves. Their unique performance uses these iconic melodies as starting points, culminating in exotically-coloured and wildly eclectic 'authored' versions of the originals.
