Inspired by the book by John Fowles - Three women are captured and held as specimens in the room of a Collector of Butterflies. In this atmospheric but dark trio, the themes of confinement and freedom are further evoked by specially commissioned sculpture - costumes created by artist Lindsay John. A brooding electro-acoustic sound score by prize winning composer Nick Parkin. Text and film fragments compliment a choreography of stillness, minimal distillation and strong emotional presence.
