In this double bill, which focuses on the inclusion of projection within the dance, Marina Collard and Rahel Vonmoos present Still Going and shall i sit here. Still Going is a solo performance in which Marina questions her reluctance to retire from dance. Filmmaker Tom Paine joins her in this uncertainty. Drawn back time and again, undecided, unsettled and awkwardly suspended, Marina and Tom are inevitably left hovering, failing to reach a conclusion. shall i sit here was partly prompted by Rahel Vonmoos' desire to involve elements of personal experience as a woman and mother. The piece is a layered presentation of recorded and live performance. It integrates film and text, the use of light, reflection and shadow and the physicality and simplicity of the performing body. The use of projection creates texture in space in which ideas about distance, duration and memory are played out.
