Mayuri Boonham redraws choreographic boundaries with her unique approach to Bharata Natyam dance, pushing the classical South Asian art form into new conceptual territories. Eagerly anticipated new works Sivaloka and Ghatam launch Boonham’s innovative new company ATMA; using the exhilarating Bharata Natyam dance language to reflect upon the meeting of ancient Indian thought with contemporary experience. Boonham brings together an international team of award-winning collaborators including India’s leading electronica composer-duo Midival Punditz; lighting designers Guy Hoare and Clare O’Donoghue; costume designers Moritz Junge and Becs Andrews and dancers Archana Ballal, Shreya Kumar, Pauline Reibell & Luisa Lazzaro.
