Body of Work is a highly physical dance composition of ambiguous body images, mixed movement styles, multimedia performance and strong references to the striking imagery of Cuban-American body artist Ana Mendieta. Four dancers with diverse backgrounds, ranging from contemporary to urban and African influences, investigate their physical heritage through reflective and skilfully crafted anatomical autobiographies. The eclectic movements merge with fascinating visual effects as images are projected on bodies in motion. Intriguing manipulation of objects and materials combine with an airy and captivating soundtrack.
