Motionhouse Theatre are celebrated for their intensely physical choreography danced with style and abandon, stunning sets and a unique theatrical vision. Following on from their focus of water in Scattered, Broken continues Motionhouse's exploration of elemental themes, this time looking at earth. Using multiple layers of scrolling film and Motionhouse's highly physical dance style, Broken creates an intriguing computer game-esque world of tunnels and burrows, shifting perspectives and see-sawing slopes and platforms.
