A double bill of dance and music featuring two exceptional young British dancers. The dancers will perform two fascinating dance styles: kathak with its fluid movements, complex foot rhythms and rapid-fire spins, and odissi, renowned for strength, grace and sculpturesque stances. The contrasts and complementary qualities of the two will unfold over the evening with the virtuosity of the technical pieces balanced by dramatic storytelling and emotive intensity. As the evening progresses we see the evolution of the dance forms with their roots in the temples.
