Formerly Diversions Inspired by author Caradoc Evans' controversial collection of short stories of the same name, this new dance theatre production by Gwyn Emberton and his company of exceptional dancers sees them delve into the dark, and turbulent, and oftentimes mythical world of Manteg. Combined with a new cinematic score by composers Benjamin Talbot and Victoria Ashfield (Y Gwyll/The Hinterland), the haunting world of Evans' most memorable characters unravels, as sexual and gender politics collide with social and religious hierarchy. Having performed with many of the UK's leading choreographers and companies, Gwyn returns to Wales with this exciting new co-production with Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
