Northern Ballet Theatre's new production was originally created by Veronica Paeper for Cape Town City Ballet in 1990. She re-stages
La Traviata along with Production Designer, Peter Cazalet, who re-creates his original sets and costumes that brilliantly portray the decadence of Parisien high life in the mid 1800s. Verdi's wonderfully moving music, played by the Northern Ballet Theatre Orchestra, completes this passionate portrayal of intimate family tensions and the devastating pain of love.
