Flamenco dance. The company was formed by Carlos Rodriguez and Angel Rojas, two young talents who continue to be the driving force behind the Company, as well as its leading dancers.
Flamenco Directo
The Nuevo Ballet Espanol is at the forefront of emerging trends in Spanish dance and flamenco. They have had two successful residencies in Madrid and a world tour. The evening ranges from the solo pieces Mil Besos, a vibrant example of thunderous fast footwork by Rodriguez, to Playas del Alma which involves the entire Company united in synchronised steps, to duets between couples, and pieces performed by the five women of the Company, costumed in rich traditional dress.
