Triple Bill: Arc/Every Action.../Memento Mori - T439588039

In Arc, three people find themselves stranded together, suspended in the air. Arc examines the instability of a triangle where relationships form and break apart and explores the experience of isolation in close proximity. Every Action... is a playful look at the bonds that form when people are thrown together. Four strangers meet before twenty-five metres of suspended rope. As they explore this elevated set of scales, they discover a world where everything you do will affect someone, somewhere. Memento Mori is an award winning, powerful duet performed on a suspended metal frame. It is based on Holbein's woodcuts of The Dance of Death, where death is represented as a skeleton that dances each of us to our grave.

Triple Bill - T884904646

Ocham’s Razor is a critically acclaimed aerial theatre company, specialising in creating physical theatre on new pieces of aerial equipment. Their work focuses on the relationships between people in the air and they create stories from the vulnerability, trust and reliance that exists between them. The name comes from the medieval philosopher William of Ockham and reflects the way the company work: given a choice between two theories, go for the simpler one thereby keeping the work cogent, artful and easily grasped. Every Action... - T51812901

Ockham's Razor are four aerial artists who specialise in creating physical theatre around new pieces of aerial equipment and combining circus, dance and visual theatre. In Every Action... four strangers come together before twenty-five metres of rope looped over two pulleys. If someone pulls on one side of the rope, the rope on the other side is affected and it's here, in this world of push and pull, that the meaning of altruism, antagonism and reliance are all explored. Every Action... is at once playful and arresting and looks at a world where everything you do will affect someone, somewhere.
